Description

Dear Sylpheed developer(s),

I just noticed something:

On the following picture:

https://twitter.com/hiro_sylpheed/status/302340310816681984/photo/1

the notification window shows the subjects and senders of the new messages.

But for me the notification window only shows "Sylpheed: X new message(s)" and nothing else.

Is this a bug?

Regards

Hello,

What version are you using?
The notification window was added at 3.4.

If you're using the latest version, please attach the screenshot.

Hello,

I am using Sylpheed 3.4.1 Win32 on Win8.1 x64.

I attached "notification_window.png" as a screenshot to this post.

As you can see on that screenshot, the notification windows only displays "Sylpheed: 4 new messages" and nothing else/below that.

Whereas on your screenshot:

https://twitter.com/hiro_sylpheed/status/302340310816681984/photo/1

the subjects and senders of the messages are being displayed below the "Sylpheed: X new messages" text.

  • Status changed from New to Confirmed

I can reproduce this issue even though Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with r3403.

I doubt that #197 is IMAP specific one.

Ah, I see.
Currently the notification window shows subject and sender only with POP3 receiving.

It will be possible to show them with IMAP4 only when "Filter new messages in INBOX on receiving"
option is enabled, because normal IMAP4 new message checking just only compares the number of
new/unread.

Hello,

What exactly does this option do? What's the difference between having it disabled and having it enabled?
